We
had a big run of cows on an active to higher market.
Bred females sold steady to higher.

A
nice offering of calves, weaned and preconditioned.
Overall, a good crowd of buyers
with weaned seeing good demand.

A
regular sale with over 500 cows, feeding cows and bulls.
We called the market steady to
lower on slaughter cattle with feeding cows steady to
strong.

big improvement in weather, subsequently buyer participation
was excellent. Light calves sold steady to higher along
with 5wts. The 6wt. steers sold steady to weak with heifers

Monday Sale
A
small turnout of buyers but active on short term and
middle aged cows. A limited
offering of young cows. Quality in numbers was absent
from the offering.

31 -- Special Spring Calf Sale
Well,
we had a big taste of winter and hopefully it will not last.
Our run was 2/3 of
expectation, with a big turnout of buyers. th eweaned calves
were well received if not
full or over conditioned. Overall on the bawling calves
the market was steady to mostly lower.

24 -- Special Spring Calf Sale
Another
big, high quality offering. Considerable variance in quality
yet demand soft compared
to last week. Market $1 to $2 lower on 5wt. steers and steady
on big calves.

21 -- Regular Monday Sale & Special
Bred Female Sale
A
big run of cows, over 1100 weighups. Considering the demand
for younger rebred and feeding cows the market active to
strong. Surprisingly we see a steady and active trade on
slaughter cows for this time of the year. The better bred
females were the older (BM or SS)kind not many young cows
available to give a good market test.

strong offering of calves. Condition, on some calves made

price discovery. Again consignors putting forth the effort
in genetics were rewarded.

Yearling Sale
A
big run of yearlings (over 3000) quality was excellent, condition
good. Buyers
were willing to step up and pay for the good ones. Cow market
was active to
higher with renewed interest on the younger, better cows.

Really
like the energy generated at this auction. The quality of our
black hided and char-x calves was excellent which enhanced buyer
participation. Light calves are better received and higher,
Overall, good buyer attendance and stronger to the end.

good run of yearlings, the market very active with good buyer attendance.

Our
largest offering of feeders ever at the Valentine Livestock Auction.
Quality was tremendous, the market was strong and stayed strong
all day. Complements to our consignors for a quality product. A
big thank you to our crew for doing a great job and they really
don't mind the rain.

A
big run of bred females, few pairs and more weighups. Active trade
on high quality cows, slow on average to low end and lower cow
market.

Fall Calf & Yearling Sale
A
nice run of fall calves, quality was inconsistent, buyer participation
less than previous sale. Yearlings sold to a more conservative public
than a week ago yet in places the market was steady!
July 17/18 -- Special
Two Day BBQ Fall Calf & Yearling Sale
Another
run of high quality feeders available. Many fall calves with condition
and some not. Overall, an active buying crowd and a snappy auction
on Wednesday. The yearling offering was strong on quality, buyer
activity was aggressive. Again, an excellent offering. July 12 -- Special
Fall Bred & Pairs
Another
quality offering of bred females and a few pairs. Buyer attendance
was good and the bred females were well received. A light run of
weigh ups on a lower market. Bulls were lower to steady.

small offering of bred females and pairs on an active yet more
conservative market than a month and two months ago. On Friday,
May 10, Kenner's offered a quality offering of colts, twos, and
older quarter horses. A good crowd on hand for this event. There
will be a complete report in next week's Advertiser.

big turnout of cows & bulls for our special All Breeds Bull
Sale. Quality was excellent and we ended up with over 120 breeding
bulls and over 700 weigh cattle. Weigh market was active with
the bulk of the offering mostly thin aged cows. Breeding bulls
demand good to excellent.
